330i Exhaust swap

I may be barking down the wrong tree but I looked and couldn't find an answer; Has anyone swapped the E90 330i exhaust onto a 325/328 and got the actuator valve to work?(Is the wiring/hose there or easily added?)

My brother has an 09 328. Looking for a little more sound/tone so we have decided on secondary cat delete but I feel like he way want a bit more. Also he uses his car to take clients around so a loud/performance muffler or catback is out of the question. That being said the 330i has the flapper so on start up and light throttle/cruise itll be quieter or just as quiet but he can get some more tone when he is alone.

Also I read the actual exhaust Dia is different; Is it the whole length or just parts? and by how much

I haven't gone down the rabbit hole but https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=18_0612

I'm thinking the 328s will not have the extra plumbing for the vacuum line.

I've gone to a PE, and still have the stock muffler in my garage.. I don't have a 328 one to compare tho.

Ya our 335s have that in the trunk area.

The vacuum line might be annoying to run but doable. Its basically the wiring for the solenoid. I mean the wiring for the 2 disas are there so who knows? Maybe bmw helped us out?

I believe there's an electrical connection in the driver's side tail light area that sends a signal to the valve.

You don't need the valve. Back in the day, many people were disconnecting it. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80661

I mean on the 335s and even on my 530i yes. The main thing is is the solenoid or the wiring for it present on the 328s. If not where does it go and can I wire it in without ripping the whole car apart.

^^^ I'm aware of the gold tee mod but due to reasons mentioned in the first post this feature would be nice to have.

Well we picked one up. $25 and much cleaner tips so hard to beat.

Ill worry about the solenoid/vacuum lines later and just plug the flapper open for now but now just have to get it on the car.

BMW makes the factory 65mm clamp but just curious; has anyone cut/clamped a stock muffler back onto an e90? where did you cut? (I'm not sure if the PE is the same pipe routing)

I can't really tell from your pic, but it looks like it is looking down on the section where I cut for an AA exhaust. I know the stock will clamp back on because I have since gotten rid of the AA and put the stock back on.
