My first wagon....E91 touring build thread
Recently sold my beloved 640d gran coupe with absolutely every possible bit of spec imaginable brilliant car and sad to it go but last year my family got that little bit bigger and we needed to release some funds to put towards a bigger house. I couldn't think of anything that I'd be happy to downgrade to as I had plans for a f10 m5 which will hopefully still be on the cards for the future.
After thinking hard of all my options I decided to go with the e91 since we already have an e90 in the household, brilliant car but think the looks of an e91 are far better since I had everything spec wise in the last 3 bmws ive owned I couldn't settle for anything less in this one, the car is as follows : 2011 lci 320d e91 sport plus with factory m performance power kit fitted. Front & rear PDC PRO NAV MULTIMEDIA STORAGE BMW ONLINE WITH APPS M performance power kit Heated seats Aluminium trim Black Dakota leather interior Servotronic steering Rear sun blinds Rear privacy glass Extended luggage Power folding / auto dimming mirrors Auto dimming interior mirror Headlight washers Combox controller USB audio Harman kardon logic surround sound Loudspeaker system Bluetooth phone package DAB digital radio Probably missed plenty but I'm very happy with it overall. Weather was fantastic yesterday so popped out with my daughter to get the first thing on the list done. Tyres fitted to the new csl wheels, and a quick trip out for a couple of snaps with the dslr of course. Plans so far consist of : Csl wheels Ap coilovers Black kidney grills Rear boot spoiler Rear diffuser modification Front lower splitter Debadged ( already done upon pick up lol ) Floor matt/shell in the boot Also needs detailing majorly as there's a few hologram marks in the rear drivers door and quarter panel and the front bumper and bonnet are terrible with swirls. Here's a couple of snaps and glad to be a member My previous sadly missed 640d GC And the new e91 Last edited by N4THJ; 05-29-2017 at 11:22 PM.. |

Chris at cm sorted me out with the set up, contact him for prices mate all vary on what you want size size etc. Tyres I went for the continental sport 6, pricey but apparently a good all round tyre.

Nice. How are you getting used to the reduction in power from the 640d? I would ask how you're finding the power kit but as it was already fitted when you got the car maybe you can't really compare it to a stock 320d?

google bmw 320d power kit, it's a genuine bmw product consisting of a ecu, intercooler and induction intake rather than remapping the old standard ecu.
Also own a 320d e90 saloon and the power difference is 100% noticeable lower down between 1-2.5k but other than a little bit of a torquey kick back I wouldn't say it's amazing. In all honestly mate coming from a stage 2 400bhp 640d it's a right kick in the nuts but don't mind since it's for the best and the fuel economy is absolutely amazing haha. |

So today was a big day! One week on from purchasing the car and my log book has arrived so wasted no time in getting my private registration on, have plenty of plates lying around and decided to put the gel style on, really suits it.
Saturday morning my grills arrived all gloss black .. Today (sunday) my brother in law and I decided to use the bank holiday weekend to get the majority done, low and behold it was all done in about 3 hours but we have had a little draw back. After getting everything on the car and moving it 2cm I get a puncture in one of the new run flats so the two standard mv3s are back on the front until I can get a new tyre next week. Absolutely gutted. Anyway .. on with the progress Set off at 10am this morning to : •Fit the new grills •Get the plates on •give the brakes a quick refurbishment as they where looking tired (only for now till new brakes arrive) •whip off the old suspension and get the AP springs on. •Get the csl wheels on •Stand back and admire |

They really are the best wheels for the E91, I had the exact same ones on my old one.
I'm toying with buying them off the buyer of my car to put on my new E91! |

Nice combo with a white E90, I was trying to convince the wife to swap her golf for a 90 or 91 in white, she wasn't having any of it though unfortunately!
I can see now i'm on a desktop you're in wales. Its a good plate if you're names Nath so someone close to me has the same idea!! |

Do you mind me asking where you got your custom steering wheel done? I've messaged royal steering wheels over a week ago and still no reply absolutely useless. After something similar to the mperformance wheel they do in the F series. Quote:
Thanks, I've had it nearly 7 years I'm looking to change it but the price of registrations these days that mean something are ridiculous! |
