OEM supplier for VANOS solenoids

Looking at replacing my VANOS solenoids but don't really want to pay BMW prices and not interested in aftermarket junk. Does anybody know who makes them for BMW? Pierburg possibly?

FCP Euro is a great resource for OEM parts. Very competitive pricing especially considering they also offer a lifetime replacement warranty on every item they sell. They also let you know which parts are genuine OEM and which ones are OE spec.

But yes I believe it's Pierburg.

Edit 10/26/22: Unfortunately FCP is doing away with their lifetime warranty program. Now you will just get in store credit equivalent to the original purchase.

Rockauto has plenty of options and low prices. As long as it's not some no name or unknown brand (Dorman) you should be ok.

Would not recommend the SMP Intermotor solenoids from Rockauto. Installing a pair gave me a CEL that went away upon installing genuine solenoids.

My favourite part suppliers (am in Australia) are Schmiedmann and FCP Euro. I’ve begun ordering more from Schmiedmann lately as they’re cheaper and the FCP lifetime warranty is not as valuable when return shipping costs are so high.

SMP Intermotor?? Agreed for sure, never heard of that brand... Gates or Beck/Arnley OTOH yes.
