Oyster is not that bad in person with the right interior mods/touches, definitely need to see in person to appreciate.

Nonetheless, interior color can always be swapped but why would you, keep it period correct/OE spec to retain its value. As far as non adaptive xenons, that can be easily retrofitted which I had plans on doing.

My plan for the car was to do a OE+ build with adding xenons and doing a 6MT. But then I found my factory Montego 6MT E91 locally which pushed me to post this for someone else to complete the build with possibly doing a 6MT swap or enjoy as is.

Nonetheless, the car is pristine and has to see in person to appreciate. I respect everyone’s feedback and thoughts of the price being too high. But like what you said, just gotta find the right time and buyer and the rest is history.
Wow...we went from “what are you smoking?!” to smoking together. Well done. There’s a buyer for every car including cars with oyster interior. This car is nothing short of spectacular in terms of condition and mods and being sold by an enthusiast in the truest sense. If it’s not that rare I’d say go find another that checks the same boxes. What were those production numbers again John?

Smoking and drinking together is always more fun, but the price is still on crack imo haha. I do believe potential sellers should capitalize on the market while it's hot. That's what I tell my real estate clients LOL. Sucks to be a buyer, for now.

That said, the car itself is a beauty in its own right as mentioned before. It just didn't check all the boxes for the ideal combo, for me. Realistically the car won't sell to anyone on this thread. It has to be an out of state or non forum member that would be willing to pay the premium.

I have a pair of Nike Dunks I got 15 years ago. I wore them a few times and now have them listed for 10k on eBay. New pairs are asking 25k. That's crackhead pricing, but strike while the iron is hot haha. Nowadays pricing on anything is insane.

It's a clean example and likely one of the lowest mileage M Sports in existence. The right buyer will pay a premium for the car. Everyone has their preferences in terms of spec (RWD 6MT non-iDrive diehard here!) and the right person will come along at some point. There is definitely a premium for some colors like LMB or interiors like Saddle. Oyster looks great but like gray in E36/E46 generations before is too much maintenance for some... says the guy that always buys black cars

I still think $40k is the ceiling on these cars right now as evidenced by the LMB on BaT. I want mid $30's for mine, if I sell, considering it's in the same spec other than the exterior color, same mileage, no accident history/paintwork, not a rust bucket. FWIW I bought 2 E91s from this thread, my unicorn was posted by a forum member and I paid top dollar for it. My point being just because you're lurking for a deal of a lifetime doesn't mean others won't stretch their wallet for the right car.

All it takes is the right buyer and the right example to cross paths to make a deal!

Lol Duck360198 …it’s 1 of 7 amongst MSport AW over Oyster but 1 of 1 with roof rail delete option.

Thanks Geoff, absolutely agree. Just need to wait for the right buyer. For the time being I’m still enjoying the car on occasional Sunday funday drives with the fam.

I’m all ears with anyone that has any reasonable offers, worse case that I say is no or too low. People won’t know until they try

Good luck with the sale, good clean daily driver it looks like. Almost my twin! One thing I would recommend: Pull the spare tire and boxes out of the trunk, then take another photo. Show off a clean boot with the rear cargo cover and cargo mat I see. Plus add more exterior photos: both sides, and the rear.

But looks good and glad to hear all that maintenance has been completed

Also, you could list what tune you have for the 3 SIM; Euro airbox: and was there a transmission swap?

This just turned up on Autotrader. M-sport AT, under 100k, $15.3k. Not too expensive for an M-sport.

328iX Wagon 6MT / Sports Package

I'm looking to sell my 6MT wagon - just posted it on bimmerforums and would like to sell it privately rather than to go on BaT.

Glad to discuss further and share more photos to those interested.

Clean title
VIN: WBAUU3C58BA545033
Mileage: approx 101k
Price: 18,000
Location: South Jersey

3 owner, bought the car last year from its second long-time owner (9yrs) in VT. The car was first purchased at BMW of San Francisco, supposedly internally by a BMW VP. Sadly, I just don't drive the car anymore and would rather sell it than let it sit in my garage. The car comes a stack of service records since new. Since purchase, I have completed a variety of preventative maintenance and other necessary repairs, including but not limited to:

All parts were OEM and sourced from FCPEuro

-Ignition coils
-Spark plugs
-All fluids
-Brake rotors (Zimmermann, drilled) / Brembo ceramic pads
-Valve cover gasket
-Eccentric shaft Sensor
-Water pump
-Thermostat assembly

The wheels are 18" VMR V701's wrapped in Falken Azenis 235/40/ZR18s. The original Style 284 wheels with almost new tires can be included in the purchase

Interesting wagon -

It looks familiar and I wonder if the seller actually was able to register it given how new it is.

Yeah, that’s pretty interesting. From what I can make out on the pics, looks to have a dealer plate on the rear.

It says it's legal but is it under a show and go exemption. Kinda reminds me of H&R's demo car they had, or is former owner a diplomat granted it's near the plant so maybe factory related.

My manual RWD E91 with the M-sport package was hit a week ago while on a road trip far from home and the insurance company is claiming it as a total loss despite relatively minor damage.

We're still sorting out the valuations, but I don't think the insurance company is going to fully appreciate the unicorn that it is. Even if they do financially value it, I'd love to see the car end up in the hands of someone that appreciates it for what it is. I'm moving on regardless - my family is in need of a bigger car, and repairing this economically will take hands on DIY time that I just don't have.

My 130k mile car was mechanically well cared for - all leaks dealt with, meaning the subframe was dropped to fix the common oil pan leak, oil filter gasket replaced, valve cover and gasket replaced. Zero error codes.

Clutch and flywheel replaced a year ago, shifter linkages refreshed with it. Front suspension bushings and control arms replaced 1.5 years ago. Blah blah all fluids replaced multiple times, blah blah lots of other small things fixed.

330i intake swap with Turner motorsport tune. BMW performance suspension and sway bar. So it's lower than stock (1" lower than base wagon, 0.5" lower than sport package), but not so low it scrapes or the suspension camber goes to shit. Front camber plates and a square wheel setup (yep, I replaced the staggered setup with matching OEM rear wheels up front) makes this car handle fairly neutral, which was important to me.

Cosmetically, the right rear quarter panel kissed the wall after a turn 4 spin at Laguna Seca and the off insurance paintwork I got done wasn't great. It was on my list to redo at some point. No airbags, no glass broken, car alignment was fine for years after.

The recent accident is mostly just plastic - I was merging a lane over in stopped traffic and was 1/3rd over when a truck didn't notice I was merging and peeled my headlight and bumper out at 5 mph. Unfortunately, the truck had a kickboard that whacked my wheel and bent the subframe and skipped some steering rack teeth.

I'd love to buy it back and sell it to an enthusiast that can get it back together. With junkyard parts and some hunting this should be a pretty reasonable to get back on the road. With all new parts this quickly gets expensive.

But it's a long drive away in DE, so tack a big tow charge on there for me to get it, or attempt to store and sell it remotely. And time and space are tight for me.

So what should I do with this thing? Any interest? Should I just take the insurance money and run?
Well, I bought this car and after quite the back and forth sorting out insurance I finally have it and dug into it today. Many thanks to QP for putting up with insurance. If you ever deal with buying a car from an IAA lot you better have patience! At least they didn't charge me any fees for storing it for 30ish days.

Bumper is off, now to find the parts!
