I got my Foxwell off ebay for around $140. Already had BMW software package installed and added Honda shortly after via update tools supplied with scanner.

Yes, it will work as a standard OBD scanner without brand specific software. Model I have is NT510 with BMW/Mini/Rolls Royce software. I have used it on Honda, Dodge, Ford and Mazda vehicles for generic P codes. I have since purchased the Honda software as well.

Yes something like $79 additional. When you buy foxwell you have to register/create an online account. I haven't added the honda software yet, but I read it will show up in your profile similar to how the BMW one is there showing what revision is available to download.

Yes, I paid extra for the Honda software. My scanner came with the BMW/Mini/Rolls Royce and added Honda/Acura. The scanner I believe will hold 5 or 6 different manufacturers. Think all extra software is around 70 bucks per. I am thinking of adding VW/Audi/Skoda as well.

Nt510 $155 coding injector OK

Paid $155 incl. shipping cost on one Foxwell NT510 at the foxwelltool dealer shop. Firstly create a Foxwell ID, then register machine with serial number.
Nt510 coding injector is a pretty impressive list of functions for such a small unit.
It is very easy and intuitive to use as it guides you through the process. It has access to the TCU and TCU parameters yes.
Here NT510 BMW scanner coding injector Ok list:
- Can code injectors and new battery on 2008 BMW 135i
- Allow to alignment and calibrate fuel injectors on a 2009 535i N54 engine
- Drive: Adjust injector ok on:
1_E81/E82/E87/E88
3_E90/E91/E92/E93
5_F10/F11
5_F18
X6_E71
Z4_E89
7_F02
7_F01/F02/F0
- Drive: Fuel injector matching ok on: 1_E81/E82/E87/E88
- Drive: Fuel injector adaptation ok on: 7_F01/F02/F04
This site is what I tested working, so highly recommend here:
http://www.foxwelltool.com/wholesale...e-and-obd.html not for other purpose, but only share the working tool.

Operation Guide:
You have to input all 6 digits together no spaces, someone may only enter 3 digit codes. Also the DME separates the 6 digits code for the injector into two 3 digit pairs automatically. There is a note in the prompts that says the last digit may be altered /adjusted by the DME.
Comprehensive guide:
the DME defaults to a low range of the injectors specs by -/+ 1 of the last digit of the set. That is normal. If you want the full range of the injector spec ie closest to the actual numbers displayed on the injector, then you need to offset entry.
Example, if you enter 477 and the DME changes it to 476, then enter 478 to target 477. If the DME adjusts to 479 then you will have to go back and enter 477 and 476 will be the highest you can go staying within the injector specs and not exceeding it.

Question Can a diagnosis be saved ?

I just received my Schwaben scanner a few days ago, is there a way to save the faults/diagnosis that it finds to see it on my computer ? Thanks in advance.

Can this tool reset the wastegate of a changed turbo? When changing a turbo on an M2 you need to adapt the new turbo (wastegate) to the ecu.

Can this tool do this?

Imho the Schwaben/Foxwell tool is a lot better in terms of diagnostics. It has a lot more functionality in terms of reading live data, freeze frame data, activating individual components to check for faults etc. If you had a tricky fault i'd say you have a much better chance of pinpointing it with the Schwaben/Foxwell tool.

It also has a lot more functionality i terms of DIYs since it can do resets/adaptations

The interface and connection is also a lot better than Carly.

I like the fact that Carly can do simple coding but in general i'm not a fan of their interface and their connection is pretty bad.... even when compared to other wifi based iOS OBD apps

I'm guessing no at this point in time. The functionality list doesn't indicate any of the 2 series cars.

Foxwell 510 now has "Free Lifetime Updates",not the Schwaben

According to the below link the Foxwell 510 now has "Free Lifetime Updates" , apparently the Schwaben Professional BMW/MINI Scan Tool does 'Not' offer the "free lifetime updates" as I was informed by the site that I ordered my Schwaben, just something to think about when deciding which one to purchase.
