Thx, I think you're right that would hold up as good as paint can. I've painted some things with exhaust header paint, that's probably similar to grill paint. It holds up well but like all paint once it starts to go theres no cleaning it up other than stripping it. I want to try the RPM, it would be great if it would hold up as bare metal that looks the best and it can be reapplied with a brush and heat gun. I'm also looking at getting a Eastwood powder coat kit and a large toaster oven, my next step for anything like this that I'm tempted to paint will go straight to powder coat.

That is BS. I was always taught the left lane was the "passing lane" but around her ppl just consider it the "other lane". Technically you're supposed to keep right UNLESS you're passing, but it actually looks like everyone is playing frogger, geeking down the fast lane and weaving and passing wherever they want. I've never seen any of it enforced, as long as you're not speeding.

Joking... I was joking! I certainly didn't mean to nudge you over the edge of sanity. Besides, don't you think the gold will clash with the silver paintwork? Chrome and silver would work much better together IMO.

Nope no clashing. There’s a song about the combo....

I don't know about you but I don't want my car to look like a Christmas decoration. Now if you wanted to give me a big chunk of actual gold and a big chunk of actual silver I wouldn't say no.

Well, they get the BMW ones there anyway. FCP sells a fair amount of the OE units.

Well you're right it's much too ostentatious for my humble upbringings and 206k rescue car. Maybe when I build one for Trump lol. I do wish there was something less gaudy and expensive that had the same anti-corrosive properties tho.

Was reading through the forums here and found that 330/335 brakes fit right up to a 328i xDrive.... hmmm. Might need to cancel my pads/rotors on order and find a swap! 3-stage intake is also on my list, so would compliment a "329" very well.

Also, was sitting in a parking lot and wanted to switch off my headlights, and they wouldn't. Seems like the switch is stuck on Auto. Found some info in the F10 forums but could just be a faulty switch. Didn't find any solutions otherwise but could be another excuse to order a euro switch to enable the rear fog lights

Bought another spark plug that will go in where the oil leak is once that's changed. But my dumb ass forgot to buy an oil filter. AGAIN.

I could have sworn I had that issue until I opened my trunk and realized my breaker bar I use for a lug wrench was loose again lol

There are two types of cable depending on the year of the car. When I bought my cable I had to solder two of the pins together before it'd work on my E46 or Z4 (didn't have the E91 then). I was surprised it worked OK on my 2005 E91 when I got it, in fact I'd bought another new type cable and it didn't work on the E91! But I know my old cable didn't work on my mate's 2016 116i.

So maybe newer E9x need the newer type cable? I think it's possible to get a cable that'll switch from new to old type.

Well this is a bimmergeeks cable with a switch. I'd be quick to blame it needing a different setting for the e46 but this same cable scans it with ista on the desktop. So I'm gravitating towards a software issue. Moving the cable switch does nothing

Today did the same to my driver side mirror that I had one my passenger side three years ago:

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1385805

too much work for just one tiny stuck pin, but once done feels good.

Also two days ago after getting repeated fuel tank ventilation code, flipped and put the original the fuel tank cap gasket back. Will see how long that will last. A year ago I was getting same code and that time I bought a gasket from Amazon which was black. Original is green, but not sold separately from the cap.
The black gasket from Amazon lasted a year. I had saved the original gasket just in case the black and thinner one from Amazon won't work. And now that time has come, original gasket flipped and back to the car.
