Blackstone report

Just thought I would share, 2007 335i e92 car has 78,000 miles, and I run a stage one JB4 tune. I don't always have it on though and the car is a daily driver.

I didn't know as this was the first oil change since i bought the car. But I used Castrol Edge 5w30 full synthetic for the change. One 5 quart jug and two regular quarts cost me $40 at Walmart, not bad

Ok. That Castrol Edge 5W-30 isn't BMW LL-01 (LL = Long Life) rated oil. I wouldn't run that more than 7500 miles before changing. A better oil that is also available at Wal-Mart and approximately the same price ($24.67 / 5 qt jug online at Amazon or Walmart) as the 5W-30 and is BMW LL-01 approved is Castrol Edge European Formula 0W-40.

I'm curious why you would turn the JB4 off and on. Is there some advantage to running the car with it off?

I was getting misfire codes with it on at high boost but since resolved that issue
Fresh coils and plugs will do that

As for the oil I am gonna run 7-8000 mile oil change interval on this car.
