Well, a new Platinum has a starting MSRP $10k more than a new 4 series, so it's gotta be something good

What's so special about the ford?

I've just always been truck guy. Also, it was wayyy more expensive than the 328. Where I am from in the rust belt most people that have a nice truck park it when there salt on the road. Just a preference. Also, I drive about 120 miles a day, so the fuel saving alone from the platinum to 328 pretty much pay for it. I still love the E92, way better than anything american I was considering.

58 here. I am on my 4th BMW and will keep it forever as only has 21K on it and put all the Euro parts on it that were not standard here.

I love it but I also loved my 5 speed 1995 318 coupe E36 with limited slip. No power but it taught you energy management. I still think it had the best steering. Just can't do the electric

I’ll be 40 in June...this is my first bmw and I kinda lucked into it as my dad was getting a new Audi Q7 and the 335 was worth practically nothing. Overall I like it okay but I was just about to pull the trigger on a 987 before the bimmer fell into my lap.

Right now I’m thinking of tuning it and driving it til it blows up and then getting the 987...

Was 18 when I purchased my first e46 330xi. Lemon car unfortunately and i was too young and stupid to see the signs when buying. Fast forward 10 years and umpteen other vehicles I now own a 08 335i.

Well, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure he is responsible and mature before handing it over to him. I'm thinking about getting him some professional defensive/pro driving education if I can find a place. I told him that passing the driver's permit and driver's license requirements don't mean anything to me (they're a joke in this country these days) and that he has to pass my requirements before he gets the car. He's not sure what that means yet, but he's going to find out.

I wish my dad would have done that for me when I first got my 06 330xi a year ago. Instead it was backseat driving the entire time, consisted of yelling and heavy criticism that made me extremely uneasy. Driving in anything with him while I had my permit made me 10x worse at driving than my mom who stayed quiet and let me focus. It sounds like your son is going to have a much better time with you

Just turned 28. Ive had over 15 vehicles so far. First BMW was in 2013, E46 330i manual.

Got an E90 325i about 6 months ago and my E92 335i about a month ago. I am selling the E90 due to space. If I did not still have payments on my lexus I would daily the E90.

You can't own a Lexus and a bmw, that's not allowed.
