VENDORS! We need a fuel pump solution!

As we all know BMW has failed to provide a real solution to their HPFP failures. I see this as a huge position for an aftermarket company to make some serious cash. Why has no one stepped up to fill the void?

Im sure there is a lot I don't know about the actual problem, and you could reply and tell me why your company is not doing anything about it. The bottom line is, there are several thousand people that are or will be experiencing HPFP failures and need a solution besides another replacement pump.

I personally would pay good money to never worry about my wife breaking down again. Im sure there are hundreds if not thousands of N54 (1,3,5, and X series) owners that would do the same. The younger crowd can rely on the dealer for another free bandaid, but I'd pay for a permanent fix!

Bump this thread if you'd be willing to buy a fuel pump that doesn't fail, or if your a company that has something in the works.

BMW, Bosch and Siemen engineers are not idiots. If there was an easy fix they would have implemented it 5 model years ago.
Too bad it isn't as easy as slapping in a $100 Walbro 255lph pump.

Ok, I give up.

Wow. Is that typical of all direct injection engines?
