After market hoods never fit perfectly, it does looks much better in person. At the beginning is always like because of the spring tension, since the hood is much lighter, with time it will close more.

I like everything but the hood. I feel that the hood is a bit much for your setup, its making it look out of place with the flow of the car.

Just remove the spring entirely. I did this with my hood and it sits pretty damn flush. The only draw back is that the hood wont pop up when u release it, requiring you to lift it manually those extra 3 inches.
