Strange wire hanging down after hard canyon runs

When I got home this weekend after driving the Malibu canyons I noticed this wire hanging down from the drivers front side suspension area (photos attached). I was definitely not hanging there before however I have not noticed any difference in the cars handling/ performance. If somebody could help me identify this wire that would be great!! The car is a 2009 e90 335i xdrive.

Do a little work.....take the tire/wheel off and see what's going on. Seems like a pretty simple issue to troubleshoot and repair.......

Looks like a brake pad wear sensor to me.

Garage List
That's a pad wear sensor. Essentially clips into the pad directly in a small slot and once your pad wears down enough it breaks the circuit running through it triggering the replace brake pad warning. I have my sensors all zip tied the control arms as I stare at my wheels enough to know when my pads are close to being done.
