wastegate rebuild

seeing if anyone has done this before. i am about to replace my downpipes and engine mounts and have 118k on the stockers so was thinking of changing out the wastegate while im in there and rebuilding it. i have a 2007 335xi and was wondering if you could rebuild it while the turbos were still on or do you have to remove the turbos?

I can’t see any way to do it with the turbos still on the car

oh you have to break that piece off and then weld it back in ok, yea more than i want to take on id rather just buy new turbos

You're going to want to remove the turbos for sure.
