question concerning wheels / M57 perf

so I've been toying with the X5 d (M57) with different rims and noticed some weird phenomenon:

1- Stock 18s are crap...
2- Lightweight Rohanas RF1 (20x10 ET35 & 20x11 ET 25) improve engine response and acceleration/ braking considerably
3- OEM 214s slow the d down, but handling is superb, I think since the suspension is dialed in with the wheel weight

Keeping in mind the front driveshaft issue and the stress on drive train, I'm debating on reverting to option 2 but miss handling of option 3,
I can text photos if someone's interested 6308639367, sorry guys I want the engine to not stress but at the same time the suspension is tuned to the heavier rim, what should I do?!?!!? lol

PS: 214 rear is almost 100 lbs, RF1 is about 75

You can't have both in this instance. Lighter wheels will respond better to power and braking, but will kill your handling. I wouldn't worry about stressing your drivetrain with OEM wheels. You're driving a 2.5 ton truck.

Are you calculating tire weight as well? 20" tires vs 18" tires, 18" tires will win every time.
