Best CHEAP exhaust setup (Loud backfire) - Better than PE MOD!

Video of sound:

The setup is AA Catless downpipe, with factory catback.
The left (driver side) muffler was cut open and perforated pipe was replaced w/ straight pipe. So when the OEM valve is open the exhaust goes out straight pipe and untouched factory muffler but when valve is closed the exhaust is redirected out of the right side muffler making it pretty quiet.

I bought the Exhaust Meister remote to control the valve.

Costed me about $150 + downpipe for the setup and sounds amazing and has valve control.

Do you have photos from the exhaust setup? 470hp? Isn't that little to enthusiastic?

Follow the regular PE mod on just the driver (left) side muffler. There is an OEM valve outside of the muffler, before the tip, so it still works. You can control it with exhaust meister remote, or JB4 steering wheel controls, or it will just open up around 4k rpm.

My car also has catless downpipes, but secondary catback with secondary cats in place.

470HP is kinda clickbait, but the car is FBO with JB4 + MHD BEF (w/burble mode on), 17PSI so should be near 400WHP comparing to dynos with the same setup.

Off topic, but what are you using to mount the device on the right (looks like your gauges are displayed there)? I have a vent mount but don't really like the location.

Yes so when I open up the valve with my remote it is loud and when I close the valve the exhaust is redirected out the non-straightpiped muffler (pretty quiet). As you can see in the link to the PE MOD when replacing the perforated pipe with straight pipe, there is still a perforated pipe going between the two mufflers.

I used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a magnet phone mount, you stick it to the dash with adhesive and stick a magnet on your phone. I used a dedicated android phone, and also got an app that turns the phone on and off when the car turns on and off. It automatically launches JB4 and auto-connects to my bluetooth receiver, so as soon as I turn the car on my gauges pop up without touching anything.

No muffler delete is far louder, and doesn't allow you to switch between quiet and loud. Even when the valve is open the exhaust still goes out the normal muffler too and there is still a perforated pipe connecting the two mufflers that muffles some sound.

Here is a video explaining it a little better, showing the exhaust meister remote, and a soundclip of the setup on N55

Here is a link to the remote controller that allows you to open and close factory valve on demand.

So; When this Exhaust Meister thing is installed, the valve no longer opens by itsself above 3000rpm?

So if i'm cruising down the highway and someone thinks he's faster then me, i need to push the button before i floor it?

I thought you would have it open most of the time as you want to hear a good sounding exhaust.
Then you'd close the valve for instances such as early morning...
I could be wrong.

I am under the impression that it will still open when you hit 3K rpm regardless if you have it set "closed". The only thing this does is allow you to have the valve "open" under 3K. Can someone confirm this?

I think we all have different reasons for a dynamic operating flap like this.

Personally, I would like it open when i'm by myself or with mates and at speeds below 60mph
Closed when i'm in the car with my dog in the back and at highway speeds (drone sound)

In reply to some of the comments: So it automatically is open when the car starts (even if it was left closed when car was previously on). The system completely overrides the factory valve control, so if you leave it closed, it will not open even if you are at high rpm. I close the valve when i get off the main streets and get onto my neighborhood street, I live on a super steep hill and is super loud going up the hill in low gear. when I am trying to be quiet I start the car then close it right away (you can also put the car in accessory mode and close the valve before starting if you are trying to be extra precautious). I leave it open 100% time when I'm on main roads unless I am passing a cop or there is one following me. I also close the valve when drone is an issue.

Oh that's too bad. It sounded like the ideal solution but without a stock/passthrough option it's not the product for me.

Thank you for the information
