HELP! Transmission pan dripping after install!

Help. I just installed a new oil pan on my transmission and now its dripping from one spot. What should I do. I torqued everything down to spec before filling it.

Bump. Anyone? Do I need to drop the pan and re-torque the bolts?

loosen and retorque the bolts.

You did them in a corss pattern yes? If you do them all in a line you'll have a leak, that's just standard pan/cover stuff.

otherwise it's possible you rolled the gasket while installing it. In which case you'll have to drop it, and hope you didnt wreck the gasket, put it back how it' supposed to be and do it all over again.

Yep. I just dropped the pan and the gasket has shifted a bit. I got everything back together and the dripping is history.
