Congrats on the upgrade man.
No I totally agree. The F30 got a lot of hate (from me) when it launched and to be honest i stand by most of it (it's mostly subjective except the steering). But I do love the way it looks and I'm super excited about finding a 6MT. And it is tuned and should be a very nice power jump from my 328. And you're right it does reassure me that these cars are worth more than the badge. The impact was pretty brutal but by looking at the car you'd never know.

And thank you man I appreciate that!

They do look good and the only thing I didn't really like was the shift to electronic power steering. Nice on the 6MT find, very rare. From my understanding, they only make MT if ordered now, otherwise they default to automatic. That's at least what the dealership here told me.

Glad you are safe, definitely did not look like that bad of an impact from the pictures. As always, cars are replaceable and people are not.

Yeah man totally agree! The 6MT was very hard to find. There was only about 10 RWD 6MT for sale when I was looking. And I believe you're correct the dealers spec them in auto unless you order it otherwise. Makes me realize why they cut the manual for the G20.

Very nice upgrade!

If you were a Diyer on the E90 you'll be fine at home on the F30. Good (and bad) thing about the N55 being planted in that platform is that it inherits the flaws as well. IMO replacing the upper expansion tank coolant hose and thermostat coolant hose should be on your list of replacement parts.

Happy driving!

Want to hear something funny about that? Upon taking delivery it was in my driveway I was doing some under the hood cleaning and I broke that upper return line. Within an hour I was already en route to the dealer to buy the part hahaha

: funny stuff man. Seems like a known failure point so they always have them in stock.

$31 at the dealer and took literally a minute to install so no worries. The guy at the desk was like "yeahhh lemme guess the plastic end snapped off" I was like yup. Lol no harm no foul.

Nice, yeah I have Geico as well. I pay like $270/month because I'm technically a ((new)) driver and under 25. Zero claims and perfect driving record.

Going to put in a claim in these next couple months for a new bumper, someone ran into it. $500 deductible, going to try and get one of those nice M-Tech Bumpers.

Very nice! I have Geico as well. I'm 23 and pay 689 every 6 months. Maybe try updating your quote to lower it.

Yeah I was on my parents policy they had my new f30 set at like 925 for 6 months and then I got a quote to see what it would be if I was on my own policy and it was 689 for 6 months.
