my mirrors are possessed
I have read all the posts about people’s mirrors folding all the way out, but mine are simply just folding in as if I am locking the car. They do it quite a bit when parked, and even while driving. Sometimes they come out shortly after starting to move, other times they don’t. The mirror fold button doesn’t do anything at all anymore. I can’t figure out why this is happening so any insight on where to look helps! Will attach video shortly.

I’d pull the door card apart and start following wires. Sounds like a short or broken wire could be the culprit

Upon doing so I found no damage to the wires. Should I trace the wires further toward the frm?

Would also be worth scanning the car with ista. If your control module is faulting it will show up.
If I remember correctly FRM, CAS and JBE modules tie into the outside mirror control. |
