I agree if what you are thinking is "gun laws are useless". I own several and am a member of the NRA. A study was released in regards to all the gun murders in Chicago and they found 1% are done by legal gun owners. The city wants to apply a tax to each round purchased by legal gun owners thinking this will help prevent the shootings in the city. You are comparing 'apples' to 'oranges'. Again, what I said is how my relatives feel about tints as police in SoCal.

No, I'm simply stating that there are far too many laws that infringe the rights of the majority of law abiding citizens, due to the actions of the minority of criminals, that do little to nothing to prevent crime. The vast majority of gun laws fall into this category, as do silly nanny-state laws such as tint laws. Apples to apples. Just different varieties.

WTF... is this your first ticket ever?? You got a fix-it ticket for your registration tags and a warning for the tint, but you thought you got a ticket for both? Did you not even read the ticket before signing it? And like someone posted, you yourself state that your tints are dark enough to be illegal in CA, yet confused to why you got a ticket/warning?

Yea it is my first ticket ever. No I understood before I signed it. I know I didn't get a ticket just a warning and fix it. Just was trying to figure out a way out of the warning because I didn't fully understand what a warning was.

Pardon me for playing the devil's advocate but I'd say don't do it. Just find a chill cop to sign off on it like many have done in the past.

I once met a sheriff at a local meet, i helped him install his procede and he wrote off my tint ticket haha

Ask around you never know who you might find.

hahaha! I remember when I would get pulled over for tint. Now, I'm cool with most of the cops around my area.
If it was CHP, you have 30 days to get your fix it ticket signed and delivered to court and you won't have to pay anything at all. At least that is what has happened to me in the past when I've been pulled over by CHP.
