Hi
I'm looking to get the Alpina gearbox software upgrade for my 335i lci.can anybody suggest where in the northwest/manchester area this can be done?

Check out xhp flashtool app. It's free to install but you pay for the flash you want (or all 3 at a discounted rate) and you'll need a cable to connect to your car and can then flash your gearbox with the appropriate software that suits your needs.
I was going to flash mine with the alpine software but heard this was a better option and was not disappointed.

I had mine done remotely about 2 years ago by a member on here ( cryptomit ) . U will need a laptop and d can cable from cableshack UK, the service cost me 30 quid and probably about the same for the cable, I like the Alpina flash, I'm happy with it but as I'm going for more power goals the XHP is a better option, it is an over all much better option for the auto than the Alpina flash. The Alpina is great for the money. The Alpina with a stage 1 re map is really good.

I would also recommend xHP. There is much more customisation to it and seems to be a much more developed piece of softeware from what I have read.
However not say it's better or worse than Alpina as quite honestly, I've not tried it.

Used Alpina for years until xhp came out. I can tell you now there is honestly no reason to use Alpina anymore. Xhp is so much better in every way.
Do yourself a favour and get xhp. Buy a Kline+Dcan cable from cable shack plus a micro usb cable and download xhp on your android device. The App will guide you through the rest, It’s very simple. They have the option for stage 1,2 and 3 gearbox maps. They can even custom tune for you if you so choose.
