Chartered Surveyor. Have worked on all sides of the industry but currently commercial manager for a national contractor. Just finished a very large shed in Scotland, had some odd requirements - like maintaining the temperature at -26C

Some interesting jobs here.

I have my own setup servicing oil fired heaters, boilers etc. and work on oil tank installations and decommisioning.

Picking up quite a bit of work reinstating tanks after oil spills. All good fun just stink of oil all the time!

Sorry for not answering - frozen food. The pull down took two weeks and at week one heading for zero they were still erecting the racking system.
I went in when it reached -26 and stood around for a couple of minutes. It wasn't too bad at all but when I went out to the relative warmth of the Chiller (+1 degree) my safety glasses misted over and I realised that my trousers and jacket were very very cold - even when I went outside the building.

I am a Chartered Engineer working as an International Sales Manager for a Forensic Science company. We make and sell the type of items you see on CSI, CSI Miami etc. We specialise in equipment for detecting forged documents (Passports, Id cards) and also finding evidence (finger prints, semen, fibers, hair, blood) at crime-scenes.

My sales areas are the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, Spain, Portugal and about 1/2 of Asia. I spend about 4 months of the year on the road (well, planes) and yes i do get lots of airmiles! You will see my car parked up a heathrow quite a lot.

Crime is on the increase globaly so business is quite good!

Quit the Motor Trade.

This is now what I do www.historicglamour.co.uk

Used to plan events and wanted to go back into it, have done a course in image consultantcy - yes boys don't you laugh who came to UK5, I most certainly looked awful due to someone not doing a Derbyshire car meet the Derbyshire way i.e. an hour late

For many sins of a former life, I work with Computers, sewing bugs into otherwise stable code. Imagine my shock to see VMWare mentioned here - I have about 5 sessions on the go at the minute, which tends to make even powerful PC's grind....... to............ a................. halt...................

Footwear and Clothing for me.

Have a retail store in Norfolk selling both and a footwear agency selling to other retailers around the country, but that is more the old mans side of things, as the shop took off doing both became a little tricky.

Yeah, I disappoint myself daily too! I'm interested in photography, but don't delude myself that i could ever make a pro, even if given infinite time to practise.

What I'd really like to be doing is some sort of writing, but that kind of work is hard to get into...
