I'm late to the party here, but had also broke a bit off recently.
The number of idiots on this forum who's reply to everything is to run to the dealership is what keeps hooked. It's comedy gold. It's like they're incapable of doing any work themselves.

I used loctite All Plastic. Looks like super glue, but it isn't.
Heated the area up till it was hot to touch and followed the 2 step guide for the glue.
It's like the plastics have fused together. Seems solid and holding well.

I understand these plastic valve covers warp with age + this engine runs hot.
So when the time comes it's worth replacing it with an aftermarket aluminium cover. £150 directly from aliexpress or about £250-300 from a domestic shop.

If anyone's done this, I'd love to know what you think of the metal replacement cover?
