2011 335d E90 Cluster Dead - F58 checks out with meter

I was replacing the OBD2 port plug as the bolt holes on mine broke years ago - can't remember exactly how. I had pulled the pins and everything was fine. Let the car sit while waiting on new pin(s). Had to drive it last night so decided it would be best to wrap the bare ends so as not to short out stuff.

I think I either did a crappy job of wrapping or something touched that wasn't supposed to touch while I was wrapping with electrical tape. The cluster is dead - nothing. It has al the symptoms of a blown fuse.

I wanted to verify that F58 is "the" fuse 'cause I pulled it and tested it. It is good. I then pulled the cluster, started the car and checked for power on pin 9.

Is pin 9 the power pin for the cluster? Is F58 the only fuse I need to check?

Fixed F74 was the culprit

of course right after I post a question, I find my own damn problem.

F74 was bad. I could have sworn I had checked it too. Replaced it. Turned on the car, checked pin 9 on the cluster. Had good power. Installed the cluster.

Now I just need to be damn careful as I finish replacing the OBD2 port.
