How do we check the DCT Transmission Fluid Level?

Pretty sure you can't and it's just when you fill it up, when it starts leaking from the fill bolt that's when you know it's full.

You should never need to check the level as it is a closed unit.

Yeah and the fact I could tune it for cheaper literally tomorrow and not have to wait on the JB4 is really tempting....

My only scare is what happens if it crashes during the flashing. Car is bricked?

Something has to go very, very wrong for that to happen, I wouldn't worry about that.

It can take up to 45 minutes so make sure your tablet is charged and have a battery charger hooked up to your car. If you don't have a battery charger I'd recommend purchasing one of the super cheap ones, only $20-30.

So this just happened to me. 2011 335is my battery caught on fire luckily I smelled it and pulled over with smoke filling up the car. I opened the trunk and flames where coming out the battery area. Ran over to the nearest place grabbed a fire extinguisher and I put the fire out. Bmw battery on the car and last people to touch the car or anything with the battery was Classic BMW, they were doing a recall on the car and fried my ecu and had to replace that as well, since then car has been acting weird and this just happened out of the blue. Good thing I acted quick because I had a full tank in the car and god knows what could have happened. Anybody have had this issue? My car is out of warranty but the work that was done was covered because it was there mistake. I have contacted BMW north america and they escalated the case and said they will contact me in one business day.

holy shit guy, glad you're okay. Never heard of this happening, I think them frying your ECU will play well in your favor.

Any pics of the damage?

If you have a spare car, just get some jumper cables and let the other car idle while its connected to yours. max cost about a 1/2 gallon of gas lost from idling. After the first flash all other flashes take 3 to 5 mins tops.

Yeah after the first flash I don't use a charger, and it only takes about 1 minute per map.

It's like new. I really scored on this Ebay buy, complete M3 DCT wheel, trim, paddles, and buttons for $400.

Nice wheel. I just installed Nelson Racing paddles yesterday. Much better then the small stock paddles but you can only really use the edge of the paddles since it moves them closer to the sticks.
