The question does not make sense.

You can use JB4 to control Meth if that is what you mean?
Or you can use an external controller like AEM or SNOW.

Custom tune using MHD can be used

When using meth you can use OTS tunes on MHD.. For instance if you have 91 octane, you could try the 93 tune and monitor timing correction, you can go up to the next level slowly and if no corrections you are all good.

BUT you wont have any safeties if your meth stops flowing. Which could cause engine to crap out (extreme case). I believe JB4 has safeties which will dial back the tune if meth stops but not 100%.

If you use MHD either OTS or custom, its wise noy to rely on the meth for power too much.

So with an external controller you don't need jb4, I would just have to monitor corrections?

With an external controller there are usually built in failsafe's such as monitoring boost pressure, and low fluid.

But, JB4 has built in failsafe's too but you get the benefit of controlling boost.

I have the snow VC50 and it works standalone. It doesnt shut down tune if issue arises. It will show clog nozzle or broken line which i think other controllers might with a light mounted somewhere visible.

But yes external controller you dont need anything else. You set when pump starts (about 25%) to where it on full (100%). You will need to hook up a boost signal or MAF signal depending on which controller you get.

I used the AEM offering that has a boost/vacuum line come in.

It unfortunately does not do well with BMW, since there is no vacuum. As such, it pretty much ran the pump at very low speed constantly and, as a consequence, I am having reliability issues with it.

I am planning to deploy a carduino to have a little more control over a few featuresa as well as add some fun new ones to the car. Controlling the meth inject is part of that project's scope.
