looks dark cause of the overcast. I actuallty had a place test it with a light meter cause my wife wanted the same tint. I insisted it had to be 5% but it actually came up as 15%. Looks darker when you have dark interior.

And know its not painted. lol

Rocking 5% all the way around. Hate it at night, but love it during the days of summer!

Yes..... Go ahead and call me crazy now... I have 5% all around and 25% on the shield. Yes, I can still see at night... And I have had it for almost 6 months and have not had one issue with the police. Sometimes I roll down my windows if I pass a cop but I have driven next to cops for miles down a road and they dont do anything. Ive heard that if I get pulled over for speeding they will also ticket me for my tint but I also have a valentine one. Yes, I know that doesnt work all the time but I am willing to take the rest. It changed the whole look of my car and I like being able to drive down the road and people cannot see me at all. Also, it looks much darker because I have Black interior.

It may not be "Perfect", but has anyone tried using the smoke plastidip to deal with the "dot matrix" portion of the rear window?

Windshield tint is a definite No No in Wisconsin. Although -would you get pulled over for that alone? Probably not. But I think it might draw unwanted attention...
If you got pulled over, you can always say "it was like this when I bought it"...
