Bilstein B8's: American vs. European

Does anyone know the difference between the valving/rebound rate of the American and Bilstein B8's?

Did you ever hear back from Bilstein about the difference? Just curious, as I have Euro ones on my car and curious whether it's actually different than the NA models

No I never heard back from Bilstein. But let me tell you the ride is quite a bit stiffer then the HD's. From my understanding Bilsteins in their design give some extra rebound. The ride can get a little uncomfortable sometimes but it's bearable. Though it does take big bumps nicely. The ride does become comfortable when its a full car or when you are carrying heavy things in the back

It's so stiff that when I open the hood and push down the car barely moves that you can't even notice it, my brothers 330i with sport suspension is like a boat compared to it.

So even though the ride is harsh sometimes I love how it handles. And it's so easy to control and do power slides.

Edit: I think the extra preloading adds to the ride quality. And I never worry about bottoming out now
