E90 motorway noise.
Hi all,
Im new to the forum and infact new to owning a BMW. Spent a while looking for the right one to pop up and got myself a 59 e90/e91? 330d Touring on 60k miles. I have an slight problem, when at motorway speed, anything over say 60 i get a pretty loud, deep humming noise, doesnt match the wheels or engine speed and isnt constant. Maybe on for 2 seconds then off for 2. Almsot lile the sound you get if you cross a solid white line. Ive not had a good look over the car yet but plan to but was looking for any ideas on what i can pay particular attention to? Any help is appreciated, Cheers. |

Hi and welcome!
This is just a guess but my first thought would be to check the plastic under trays etc, should one of those be loose and hanging slightly then it could cause humming as wind passes through.. |
