Best price on Koni str.t (Orange)?

Looking to do a lowering spring and koni Orange setup to drop the car a little. I noticed ECS has them on sale for $360. Anyone know if there is a better price? Also, what spring will lower an msport just .5 - .75? Thanks!

Suggestions or opinions?

If you are lowering i'd recommend stepping up to the yellows. I just installed oranges on my sport springs and it seems they are between OEM standard and sport. So if lowering any more it might be a problem.

I would like to but I am on a budget and the orange konis are within that. My understanding is that they work with lowering springs?

Will have to have someone else confirm if they do or do not. But for the price of springs and orange I would just get yellows.

Yes they work with lowering Springs just fine. Problem is they are not rust proof so they will rust over time. I sprayed mine down with engine clear 2yrs ago when I got them and been fine. And other problem is they actually lower the car. Reason I say this is I got hr pro kit Springs as Chicago streets are horrible and didn't want a massive drop, just something small, end up front end fender is almost touching the tire and rear has 1 finger gap. Verified I got the right Springs multiple times and no luck. So I just kept the setup

If anything oranges will increase ride hight. I kept the same springs when I changed mine so was apples to apples. It could have been since my stock shocks were shot though.

Garage List
Lowest price I found was $335.78 shipped from Race Consulting Agency.

Point I was making is that you switched to lowering springs. There is no way you can quantify a change in height from shocks if you change springs too.

So a spring thats advertised 1'' drop and ended up being 2.5'' lower than stock doesn't translate to the struts bring shorter than the oem stuff and lowering the car more than what was advertised by the lowering company? Yet guys who run the same springs with koni yellows get a less of a drop

Stock shocks were shot. I just replaced mine with yellows and kept my oem springs. Ride height increased but its probably back back to the original height. Its been so long

Thanks for the input everyone. So basically I want to do a subtle drop (1" or less) and don't want to do it on stock sport shocks that will blow in 6 months. So I was going to get the Koni oranges to allow for a drop. According to ECS they are ok for a drop. Thoughts? What springs?

Oranges are basically stock shocks, if you are swapping them might as well upgrade. You could look into the Bilstein B12 kit. Nice drop and shock upgrade.

I have the Koni STR.T in stock, as well as Koni Yellows and Bilstein B8s. recommend you pair them with Eibach Pro Kit springs for the drop you want. They drop less than an inch on a sport suspension e90. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. PM'ed you as well.
Best regards, Chris
