There's not much to tell .... whilst at University I had a holdiay job in a hotel.

They had a fair few 'celebrity' guests (e.g. the drifters, Ian Drury ... ) including the Nolans and Shane Ritchie (who was married to one).

I delivered room service to one of them ... who was in a frilly pink dressing gown at the time (don't know which). Fortunately (she was a bit old for me) one thing didn't lead to another and no-one was in the mood for dancing or romancing. In fact ... she didn't even give me a tip.

I'm sure she'd remember me though

They do look a bit alike; Both are big... Both are boxy. But only one has the turrets.

The MF (beauforty) rang me as we left Donington, 'on the way' to the castle, asking me which way to go.
I could swear I gave him some bogus village name, but he still managed to get there- what a MF!

Perhaps I should have just let Marilyn carry on leading the way- now that would have been a drive & a half!

As anyone that was at UK2 knows, our plate covers had blue labels stuck on the left end. I have created a few labels for UK3 with St. Patrick's Day as a theme (sort of). What are your opinions? Should I keep my day job?

I went to fancyplates.com & knocked this up- probably not to everyone's taste, but so what?!

BTW- Yes- I am being extremely presumptuous, having March 17th & 'Paddys' on the plate!

...I hope normanh isn't going to 'start' again about having the meet connected in any way with the Republic of Ireland?!

An old friend from school is holding a boat party for his 21st birthday on the 17th of March - I havn't told him I will attend yet, but I have not seen him in 3 years or so, and it would be nice to see how he's keeping. If I commit to UK3 and his party, then I might have to leave early (again) depending on what time his party is starting

I should be fine for the other two dates, but the others are unable to make it, by the sound of things - I'll decide once you folks have ascertained an exact date
