How to get paint for a bumper

I have an M3 conversion bumper coming soon and still have yet to get paint for it and when I look all I see is touch up paint. Will that do the job or will I have to get a higher quantity since a bumper is more than a touch up? And if I get touch up paint what kind is best?

Got mine from eBay, pretty good

https://www.ebay.com/itm/283293002455
For example in search put "bmw 354 paint quart" and you will get some vendors selling by the quart which should be more than enough for one bumper

Google "automotive paint supply near me" and you'll find the suppliers who provide paint to your local body shops. Most of these places will mix up and supply whatever you want in spray cans, or sell it to you in quantities you need for use in your own spraying equipment. You just need to provide them with your paint code.

Remember, you need specialized rubberized bumper paint, which, as was suggested, a paint supply store can supply.

I would strongly suggest not DIYing this. Take it to a shop and shop around a bit, it won’t be too terribly expensive snd will turn out much, much better.

Given your post, I mean no offense to you personally, I would highly suggest taking it to a local auto collision shop that is highly rated. I will probably cost you $300.00 to get it painted, but it's well worth the money to get it done right.

$300 is on the low end of prices. If you find a quality job, then it’s worth it.
$350-$450 sounds about right.
Doing it alone, you’ll spend about $100 in material and run the risk of it coming it poorly.

Plenty of DIYs online though to do it yourself.

After adding all of that up, it's close to the cost to get someone else to paint it.

I paid $300 to get a brand new bumper painted and it was excellent. My only mistake is that I had the color matched to the fuel door (easy piece to remove and take to the body shop) not realizing my car's hood was repainted before and blended into the fenders and old bumper, so my new bumper is a slightly different shade of Sparkling Graphite Metallic.

Paint work, like PDR, is best left to someone who's done it for years and frankly not someone who's wondering if they can paint an entire bumper with touch up paint.
