Springs

Which lowering springs for an 56 plate e92 330d SE.

Don't want it slammed but lowered to a nice stance.
Would msport springs do the job? And are all msport springs the same?
Cheers

The h&r sport springs seem popular, iv bought some for my e92 not had them fitted yet though. Search h&r sport springs in forum and you will find loads of photos

I'm actually considering just using msport springs. Was quite happy with the ride height oft 335i on msports.
Can I just pop the msport springs into an SE then?
Any difference between spings for models? Ie 320i to 330d etc.
How much would you want?

I fitted h&r sport springs to my ES/SE but it was too low imo. Cheapened the look of the car and made it look too modified.

I have since taken them off and fitted msport springs. better ride height completely and drives much nicer now. Also doesn't look as modified

Does it look exactly the same ride height as an msport or lower? ( might be a stupid question)

The springs determine the ride height not the shockers so looks exactly like an msport

H&r's

Msport

The h&r's seemed to sit too low at the back. And reverse rake doesnt look very good

Sorry to take over the thread however I had a similar question as OP.

Will it be fine to fit Msport springs or H&R Springs to a normal SE suspension on a e90 320d?

I fitted h&r springs to my SE shocks

Front drivers suffered massive failure within 10k miles

I have since fitted the msport springs to the SE shocks and everything is hunky dorey.

Obviously not ideal but on msport springs i haven't had any negative issues.

When running the h&r's you could tell the car was under-dampened and really could have done with stiffer shocks

On the msport springs it rides pretty good and feels much better matched

Just did further research which mentions m sport springs will only give a drop of 15mm which will be hardly noticeable?

Any other springs you guys would recommend which will be suitable for se shocks?

if you want the sort of H&R drop then you should really be looking for msport shocks in at the least. Ideally a set of after market lower riding shocks. But definitely not SE as they aren't designed for the stiffer / limited travel in the suspension that is required for low
