It all depends how you drive. DW rear tires lasted about 20k for me, good enough for me.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...erformance=ALL Local Firestone shops will match the prices. I put at least 20k miles on Chicago streets per year and so far in pothole against tire & rim scenario had best luck with Bridgestones. You can run 265/40-18 in the back, on 8.5j et35 rim I run winter tires 255/40-19 in the back, on 9j et40 rim, which is equal to 8.5j et34. This is 1" taller tire and I have no problems at all, is about 15mm of the wheel well arch. Last edited by vwetish; 07-10-2014 at 08:13 AM.. |

255/40-18 will be little stretchered on 9.5j and won't look good. Will it rub, no. 245/40-18 is alright for 8.5j. will in rub, no. to save you from asking questions, here is a list from optimum tire size per rim: 225=7.5j 235=8j 245=8.5j 255=9j 265=9.5j and so on... |
