Since you don't know the car that well, just go with 265/35 rear and 245/35 front... You should be good to go with whatever tires your run.

Ask in the tire/wheels sub-forum and search on tirerack reviews... DWS is decent from I heard, probably still crap in the winter comparing to real snow tires. I had DW, no complaint for street use, track is different though...

It all depends how you drive. DW rear tires lasted about 20k for me, good enough for me.

ITs more for a daily driver, about 150 miles a day, looking for good tires appreciate your responses by the way!

You can get these.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...erformance=ALL

Local Firestone shops will match the prices.
I put at least 20k miles on Chicago streets per year and so far in pothole against tire & rim scenario had best luck with Bridgestones.

You can run 265/40-18 in the back, on 8.5j et35 rim
I run winter tires 255/40-19 in the back, on 9j et40 rim, which is equal to 8.5j et34.
This is 1" taller tire and I have no problems at all, is about 15mm of the wheel well arch.

255/40-18 will be little stretchered on 9.5j and won't look good.
Will it rub, no.
245/40-18 is alright for 8.5j.
will in rub, no.

to save you from asking questions, here is a list from optimum tire size per rim:

225=7.5j
235=8j
245=8.5j
255=9j
265=9.5j

and so on...
