I you want more power dont use diesel additives, Drink a can of red bull before leaving. I garuntee you it gives a minimum of 10bhp.

I used BP UD for about a year and think it's great but the price difference got so high in my area decided to try Millers in regular fuel and find gives me the same result, even using Tesco's diesel. The significant routes to more power are re-maps / decent tuning boxes or going up the engine range. |

Fuel Additives
Hi Everyone.
Walking around my local car store the other day and noticed the large amount of fuel additives now for diesel cars. I'm just wondering if anyone has used them, and if so where they any good? I always use Shell fuel (not v-power) so I'm not sure if I will see any benefit. Pete |

i use diesel redex in older vehicles and it definitely cleans the injectors. i dont think i would use ANY additives or cleaners in a modern bmw diesel engine apart from always using shell fuel with 1 in 5 tanks being v power. in a petrol v power definitely makes a difference. i cant say i notice any difference at all with the diesel but i am sure it has a cleansing effect.

I agree with acerboo tbh, I wouldn't use any fuel additivies in a modern BMW diesel engine. Decent fuel and regular servicing should be suffice in my opinion and good long hard runs to 'clean her out' lol.

I've only used 'cleaners' and 'additives' for my older cars where I found they cleaned the injectors, etc and put the car back to what it should be like. Found they did jack-all for the newer cars.

BTW .. from monday Tesco is doing a price match policy on petrol to local places, plus double clubcard points.
