The delay is fine with me. It lets me get my tax refund in, and use that to buy this.
It's getting to be a GREAT place to be an end user. This, the JB2H, the AA Processor...yay for choices!

I got a call on Friday at 1:00pm EST from Helix Bimmersport saying that the Helix Attache is on sale for $795 and the official gains are 70hp to the wheel and 70tq at the wheel. They said that its similar to installing the procede but there might be one or two extra wires to plug. I wish I could get one but it's just not the right time. Just had changed two of my tires and booked some tickets for a vacation.

I'm confused because I thought that the Helix program was a flash.

I've had it for almost a week now and it's a blast! Here's my comments from day 1

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...postcount=1412

it has only gotten better since then, it's easy to predict the throttle sweet spot now for max results. Except my mpg, that went down the drain due to extended...testing.

Hoping to calm down in a month or so

Legendary chip tuner GIAC now bring their magic to BMW with flash-to-DME software.

E90 and E92 sotware is now in development. Stay tuned for updates.
Yeah...what's the deal with that?! Seems odd they'd have the Attache and flashes.

Any updates on when the Helix FMIC will be available? I’m seriously considering the Attaché but not until I can purchase together with the appropriate map.

Don't worry, it's going to rain tomorrow, so we're probably going to go to Atco next weekend.

Please post this question on a separate thread. This thread is only for the Helix Attache (piggyback).

Are you on stock RFTs? I didn't get much a chance to drive hard w/the RFTs, and I'm on General UHPs for a wk. Last wknd, went WOT from ~65mph in DS and was apparently losing traction (TC light kept going nuts). Not sure if these tires are less sticky or what..just wondering what you're on.

WOW!!!!

I just installed the attache it took about two hours and it was very easy to do.

There is alot of rush hour traffic in Boston right now so i didnt get to play around too much but i did find some empty roads near Fenway and the Attache is AMAZING even with the xi the traction still slips in first gear.

to the Helix team. Awesome tune!!

Yep, I'm on stock 18' Potenzas.

WOT doesn't work well with this setup up to ~70mph, you lose traction fast and DTC interferes too much.

With stock RFTs you either have to:
- turn off DTC before going WOT or
- don't go higher than 60-70% throttle with DTC on

stickier tires should make a difference.

There was apparently a "list" I (and apparently you) knew nothing about that they are currently sending orders to.

I want one but am not on said list.

I'm completely tuneless for the moment. I should definitely make my way up to DC/NoVA to see what the Snizmobile is all about.. especially since you guys like to have all the meets up there.

Any chance we can get a viewable dyno graph? Preferably with stock runs and Attaché on 93 octane.

Click the images, then click "full size". You'll see it much clearer. Well not the first dyno, but the other two.
