Exclamation BMW 320i E90 Engine/Exhaust sounds

Hey all!

I have recently started having an issue with my Auto 2006 BMW 320i. It started happening after I mistakenly didn't put the handbrake on when on an incline which meant when I let go of the brake the car started rolling backwards. I hit the accelerator and the engine had to work quite hard to get it up the incline. It made a grinding sound and the tire squealed a bit. After that happened, the car, when started, would go up to about 1000 rpm then go down then go back to 1000 rpm. When driving or parked the engine/exhaust makes a weird sound whenever the accelerator is applied between 1500-2000 rpm or when there is sudden acceleration and then I let go of the accelerator. Have never had this issue before but I am thinking it may be exhaust or gear related. Would anybody have any idea what it could be? Here is a link to Google Drive with a recording of the sounds. Doesn't sound too healthy. Can't upload audio files to here unfortunately but here is the link:

Let me know if there are any problems with the link. Cheers everyone!
