MY inlaws 06 325i had a pretty bad oil leak coming from the bottom of their car so they took it to an Indy shop and was quoted $1800 to fix a " timing chain cover leak " Anyone ever heard of oil leaking from the timing chain cover?

It's probably the front crankshaft seal.
