ok so basically...i took my car in for break change and some type of emmisions recall they had...they called back the next day, and my service consultant said "well it looks like you had a procede software installed on your car" funny thing is i tried to deny it and basically they told me that they voided my Engine warranty. now i took off all the wiring and everything off my car. now i have absolulty no clue of how they found out, but waht my service consultant told me is this "well the way we noticed is that one of your "boost" valve's is beign bypassed and thats caused from the procede"

still havnt picked up my car. will pick it up 2marrow and see whats going on...

just giving u guys an heads up for anyone going in for service!

Wow. They can't just up and say your warranty is voided. From other threads, I was led to believe the only way that can happen is if they prove that your modification caused the problem.

I think the Vishnu Procede is kinda well known to dealerships now and they're attempting to get you to confess. Either that or you didnt hook everything up correctly when you deinstalled it.

+1 I agree....

They can't just void the entire warranty like that.

Of course your 'Procede just kicked in yo' t-shirt didn't help matters much while you were at the dealership

I'm sorry to hear that... dealing with SA's and warranty claims when your car is stock is never fun, and when its modified its just even more stress. Best of luck with dealing with those tards, but if the procede itself wasn't in the car then I would just deny it. If there only proof is that one of your solenoids was bypassed then tell them that the vac line must of fell off. Now, get ready for all of the saints to chime in and tell you about morals and ethics, and how you are going to put that dealership and/or BMW out of business if you retain your engine warranty.

They cant just void your warranty like that. They need to be able to prove that a mod you had in place is what caused your issue. Without the PROcede in the car, they have no way of telling that you ever had it. Beside that, the warranty covers every little part that makes up the motor. So they cant go with. " Engine warranty void" Too broad. (at least this is what I was told)

Read the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

They absolutely cannot void your warranty.

Your warranty is only voided if that procede causes something to fail, and they need proof that it was the procede and nothing else that caused it.

despite magnuson moss, its going to be an uphill battle if they flagged your car in the system.... it'll show up at any dealer when they call up your car's service records. basically, they have more lawyers and money to fight you. the regional reps do lurk and read the enthusiast boards so be careful what you say. they can easily figure out who you are by post info like dates, what dealer the car is in, etc.

passenger side of the engine, back towards the firewall. part of the procede install is bypassing the boost solenoid by taking redoing the tee. if you forgot to redo the hoses, its a dead giveaway, as the solenoid is sitting there with nothing connected to it.

Actually, it doesnt. I thought it would happen when my one dealership wrote in the notes of my workorder "vehicle has many performance mods". However it didnt show up in the next dealership I went to when I asked.

Secondly, both my dealerships know I have a PROcede and still got my o2 sensor replaced under warranty(as discussed in one of my other threads).

The second dealership Ive been going to actually has a couple employees running the PROcede in their own cars. That is a dealership I like dealing with.

Apparently v2 of the PROcede will put this part back to stock configuration. That being said, v2 is still a rumor.
