Vrsf Fmic & Cp
just wanted to put a thread up there for anyone that is thinking about upgrading thier intercooler or CP. i installed my 7" fmic and CP with the OEM C-clip option on my car.
So far i love the upgrade, i already had a JB4 intake and DP so i was due for these upgrades. car reacts a lot better especially up top and pull after pull it doesnt seem to quit. i feel like my car is a lot happier now one thing that really suprised me was the difference in sound my car makes now. sounds way sexier! haha it has a nice deep tone and when you go WOT you can really hear the turbo doing its thing. install of the CP was super easy, the FMIC on the other hand was a little more intense than i thought it was gonna be. but then again i went above and beyond to make sure everything was tight and trimmed just right. but overall i would say its about a 2 to 3 hour job if this is your first time doing it and you have the right tools. i wanted to give a personal thanks to Tiago from VRSF, the shop i had order these parts for me while my car was being repaired ordered the wrong CP that had a bov flange on it which i didnt need since i have a n55. no fault of VRSF, they just sent the part that was ordered. got ahold of Tiago and he told me to ship the old one back to him and he would give the correct CP. he even told me he would pay for the return shipping! he even sent the CP out before he even got the old one back. i just sent him the tracking number. long story short i will always recommend VRSF not only because their parts are great at an awesome price but also because thier customer service cant be beat! i swear they are right by a computer at all times since i would get a respone from him within an hour of all the emails i have ever sent him! thanks again VRSF! |

I just received the Charge pipe Downpipe and FMIC. But my FMIC has a dent on one of the holes, is this ok?

Man that sucks that it got dented! It doesnt look horribly bent but then again like i said its a bit of a job to get that sucker installed. if i where you i would put the coupler on it and see how good it holds with it out. if it moves around at all after you tighten the t clamp i would give VRSF a email, they will get back to you ASAP. hopefully it holds well and you wont have to worry about that though.

I hate you for this whole thread. I've been doing great for a month or so..... now I'm looking at FMIC and Chargepipe. I'm blaming you when it comes to the fallout with the wife.

i saw all these people on the fourm say they left thiers on for the install and i always told myself i was going to just take it off but suprisingly there is enough room to do it with the bumper on and i never did take it off. although the actual trimming you need to do for it to fit would have been a million times easier with the bumper off. Good luck on your install and enjoy being able to do more than 2 pulls on a hot day and not lose any power!
