New Slotted Rotors and Pads...Noise :<

So I just installed my new StopTech Slotted Sport brakes and pads, threw my wheels on, and test drove it.
it sounds okay at first, then i start hearing a "ch-ch-ch" noise that gets faster the faster i go.
I pull my car back and lift it, dust shields are fine, I pull the pads off and the sound goes away when i turn the rotors (sound goes away only on the brakes that dont have the pads.
I threw stop squeal on the pads on one side and the noise is still there.
Is this just the price to pay for having slotted rotors on the e90, or did i miss something?

I have experience with dimpled, drilled,and also slotted rotors on different cars. Dimpled made a very faint whir that I never noticed at speed The slotted rotors I've used didnt make much noise, faint, definitely not what you're describing.

I used slotted and drilled on my wife's last car and they made a ton of noise. Lesson learned.

So my experience, some noise but not overwhelming. Good luck. My bet would have been on the dust shields.

If not dust shields, did you bed the pads in?

+1. I installed stoptech drilled rotors and OEM pads and they made some odd noises before I fully bedded them. A day or two later and there were quieter than the OEM rotors.

Is the noise from the front or rear?

After changing a few rotors and pads on these cars, I noticed they don't seat too well, especially in the rear at first. After a 50-100 miles things quiet down.

did you ever fix this issue?

i got r1 concept slotted and drillled rotors and new akebono pads and they make this buzzing click noise while driving, the noise goes away when i brake, i was told that its due to the ceramic pads rubbing against the rotor and due to the slots and drilled holes it make sthis noise,

slotted rotors on my e92 make a noise like the pad is lightly touching the rotor at all times, which I guess it is. Has been making that noise since installed a couple of years ago. All future cars are getting centric premium blanks.
