M47T2 engine cold air intake

Hey guys,

This is my first addition to the forum so I hope to get some helpful information from all of you.

I have a 318d m47t2 engine and am considering of doing a cold air intake to my car but I have not seen any tutorials on my engine of how to do it.

So my question is does anybody have any suggestions to what cold air intake i should get.
And has anyone got a step by step or has seen a tutorial on how to do it.

I can only thank in advance for all of the help that you can give.

I am pretty certain that it is the stock exhaust?

Why do you think that there is no point?

is there even any intakes for sale for you car? BMW's have a good stock intake from the factory, that stuff is more a sound mod then anything else. I recommend you look into a DPF (downpipe essentially) + tune you will get some nice gains.

if you have secondary cats, delete that. install a high flow muffler or delete it all together and you'll get some meaningful gains and sound. turbo engines like to breathe and all that is much more restrictive then an already good stoxk intake.
