Looks like some fun projects!

I'm presuming you haven't had the Spec installed yet? Are you running with a stock clutch currently?

Spec 3+ is very nice. Ran one before in a different car but wasn't seating correctly when breaking it in and switched to a monster. I was bummed it didn't work. It was definitely very grabby.

Yeah I have a lot of projects going on right now but things are finally coming together!

Yes I am running the factory clutch now. You know I have heard some questionable things about spec on other platforms but something about the n54 they seem to have gotten it right. Should handle all the power I am looking to throw at it

I love it when a plan comes together!

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the clutch after you get it broken in. Until I ran one, I'd never heard anything questionable about them. They seemed to be the clutch to go to for any application.

I have not touched on that yet so your good man! I'll be doing it in stages as I upgrade my fueling system. Right after I install probably 20lbs will be my target as long as everything stays healthy. After that, well you will have to stay tuned

Definitely will. Although new to the BMW world of things, I do know 20 lbs is breathing healthy, so I can only imagine what your end goal is...but I will impatiently wait!

What is the bottom end good to? Either I haven't been reading in the right places or it can take a ton of power/abuse that it doesn't need discussion.

I would say the latter of the two lol stock bottom end is known to be good for 700hp at least. It's a hell of a platform that's for sure

The custom headlight w/o amber are still in progress. They are taking me forever to complete but I want them to be perfect. I wasn't happy with the clear coat I used so I sanded down a bunch of parts and have to re paint and clear them. This season they should be done hopefully!
