Why is that? Is it because of the engine itself or exhaust, 2nd cat etc..? Would having a tune similar to 330 actually hurt the N51 engine (not being able to handle the higher compression ratio)?
By "near" I meant just hp at crank.

N51 was created for lower emissions so not only is the combustion chamber different, I think the entire exhaust is different. Your car already makes use of the 3-stage intake manifold. Putting a 330 tune wouldn't work because your engine is physically different. It's not really that your car can't handle the higher compression. It's just not something you can tune into the software. You would need new pistons to get a higher compression. But you can still get more power with a simple tune. Perhaps an exhaust might free up more power too.

I need someone to source out a manifold for me I'm afraid I don't have time to sit and look for places that sell it. if someone could do this for me so that I can pay and it arrives when I am back home, that would be great.

pm me if anyone could do this, ill make the payment and do the DIY as soon as I get back home

You can buy them from any dealership and the parts are not heavy at all. It's all just a bunch of plastic.

e90pilot. you have done all this. do you feel big difference in the power ?

and i read some where, that you had to take out your ecu, and ship it somewhere to get the benefit of this manifold upgrade ? if i buy the oe tune i don't need to do this. right ?

I only need the manifold parts. and the oe tune. nothing more ?

Dude. You just need the manifold, which will give you ~8 whp.

Then get the Gintani IM swap tune, which you have been asking about.

Don't go any other route. You don't need to take out your ECU,or touch your ECU.

So has anyone here actually just bolted it on w/o doing the tune and really worked? I've read all 8 pages several times and I just get confused. I am wanting todo this but I am not dropping a grand if it will be buggy.

Yes it works but power delivery will not be smooth. The DISA valves work by getting rpm info themselves and not by any input from the DME. The only thing the DME does is optomize the engine map to make use of the intake manifold. Honestly, there's no reason to get the manifold with no tune. Yes you might get a few more HP but there will be a significant dip in torque at around 3500 rpm.

Yes I did it yesterday!
I have N53 (DI) with slightly different intake manifold then N52. The manifolds on 325 and 330 are identical except for the DISA valves, no need for new vent hose.
I don’t have any tune yet. There is noticeable increase of power and it’s very smooth, I don’t have dip in torque at any rpm.
However, I will get a tune, when I found one for N53 engine.

But you have a tune for N52 and as far as I know there isn’t one for N53.
In the meantime I’m happy with the way it works. I have BMS power box, hopefully I will be able to replace it with a re-flash of ECU.

OE tuning did my car but it's not quite 100%. Any company that has a 330 tune will be able to tune your car.
