Price for pure stage 2 turbo?

I've been talking to a company called Extreme power house who is affiliated with pure turbos and they gave me a good discount code and for a pure stage 2 turbo, with installation kit, upgraded high flow inlet, no diverter valve and shipped would be $2,565.00. Does this seem fair? My car is a 2011 335i coupe

No core charge? That is actually a pretty good deal. I was looking for all of that myself and it came out to around 2800 minus the GFB DV since i already have it.

Black Friday is $2,125. That is a fair deal. I was able to piece together my own install kit for $100. Putting those items in my cart now is closer to $150 though.

Turbo - $2,125
Inlet - $250
DV+ - $135
Installation kit - $220 ($150 piecing it together yourself)

**Edit**
Without the DV+ you can get this through Pure and piece together the install kit less that their price. ($2,525 by my calculations)

Get the DV+. It is a while your are in there mod. Also, get new hard lines (I think they were for coolant). You will break the ones coming off the stock turbo.

What does the diverter valve do? I know people say you want it if you're going over 20 pounds of boost

It just doesn't leak boost. With the turbo out it makes it 100% easier to swap now.

You'll want to upgrade the DV for sure, especially with upgraded turbo's. All Pure Turbo authorized dealers should be at the same price point for Black Friday.

A diverter valve is a recirculation valve that recirculates the excess boost pressure when you let off the throttle. Similar to how a blow off valve works but it doesn't vent it to the atmosphere. The job of a blow off valve or a diverter valve is to relieve the pressure so the air doesn't go back to the turbo causing compressor surge. Many people have had their stock units fail on the stock turbo when running a tune. This is a must when upgrading the turbo. As stated before it is much easier to install when the turbo is removed.

I have a NEW V3 PS2 I will be selling with a DV+, inlet, and no core charge. Feel free to PM me if you're interested in hearing more.

Kinda bummed...why? As my car sits for personal reasons, I was living vicariously via your X1 adventures.

I have decided to leave the platform. I am shopping around for a TT RS. I was considering waiting around a bit longer and getting a new M3/M4 but the car is just too ugly to spend that much money on.
