More than you ever wanted to know about the MULF2 High
I got curious the other night and pulled apart my MULF2 High to see what was going on inside it. It's pretty interesting (probably not to you - it looks like the hardware should support A2DP streaming audio just fine, but they just didn't design the software for the box with that goal in mind. Anyway, I wrote up all the details on my blog, since it's relatively in line with what I usually write about.

I think I'm going to, thanks for the feedback! The next thing up I think is the stock hifi amp - I'm curious what's really gone into it and how easy it is to replace.

There was a guy in Berkely upgrading L7's
He was putting in higher wattage output devices in the power board
when he repaired them. This was for 7 series cars. |

And that made a difference? In theory, if you can drive your system to the point of really bad distortion and you know it's coming from the amp, you might benefit from a higher power output stage. Otherwise, you've got to do some other messing about anyway to beef up the amplification stages. And even then you run into all sorts of thermal design problems.
Anyway, I don't have a logic7 amp, just the normal PL2 Hifi. |
