email me if you have one for sale. BTW, the metal ring inside my headlight came loose, and it covers the lens. Let me know if you can fix it. I'll pay for your time.

I just went through the same thing last week. I almost bit the bullet and spent $500 on a used one but decided to try and fix mine first. One of the tabs broke off that ring on mine or I would have tried to snap it back on with coat hangers etc. I ended up using a heat gun to remove the lens (huge PITA) and replaced the ring with a spare I had from a light with a busted housing.

If you have tons of patience you can do it, just DON'T TOUCH the chrome as much as possible, it literally wipes right off from the oils in your skin etc. Use butyl tape with some heat to reseal lens to housing.

Why they didn't make these easier to service is beyond me, must be a money grab.

OP, I'd be interested to hear if you were able to snap the ring back in place as 89Rustang suggested. Thanks

Bummer when a thread is left open and don't know what happened in the end.
