lets talk alignments...
Just dropped my e90 330i on HR Sports... sitting on 19inch rims. I know my rear toe is off and i would imagine my camber also front and back.
When i get an alignment should i go to the dealer, they don't have the hot new Kinematics alignment machine but i get free alignments with Firestone so i may just go there. Whats specs should i align this car to? the e90 sport or stock or something custom??? It was stock suspension before my HR springs. Anyone have any good alignment specs for an e90 330i with HR that i can give to the tech to match up to? Also anyone have to have the pin knocked out the front strut top so they can change the camber after lowering??? |

Lowering ride height changes camber naturally which effects toe which eats tires. Fix toe and your tires loves you. CHAMBER eats tires is just gospel

yup, i can definitely say that lowering my car last week fucked my rear toe up and consequently ate what little i had left on my tires in the course of a week (waiting a week for alignment so springs settle). Just got new tires, right rear tire had worn thru both steel belts and had a massive bulge due to the toe issue.

i cant post an alignment sheet but i can tell you what my alignment specs are since i align my car myself
rear camber (left) -3.7 (right) -3.5 rear toe (left) 0.18 (right) 0.17 thrust angle (0.01) not perfectly straight by a hundreth of a degree but the car does drive straight... e90's do not sit perfectly level when they are balanced. my camber is set not so the tires clear my fenders and so that my fenders do not come in contact with my wheels when the car bounces (camber curve) here is a pic of the setup the car not sitting level is exxagerated in the pics since the front left wheel is on the tile and the front right is not
