You try and put your hands down there and film.

Just listen to the rattle and see if your RB's are the same.

I'm at wits end and I'm going to as Rob for a new set

Does your rear wastegate make a noise like this?

I don't hear any noises from the wastegates just a whine sometimes as I increase the revs.

Cheers
I have been having the same issue ever since I have put mine on. I have tried everything I can. I've tried every adustment I could on the JB4. I've changed all vacuum lines. tested all solenoids and canisters all check good. Put vacuum on the wastegates and they close tight at 5.5hg. The only other option is to take them off and send them back to be checked by Rob but I can't afford to have my car down for months again.

what about menu10 and 12 on the JB4? i'm a noob but I heard it can be adjusted to reduce rattle but will affect your throttle sensitivity

Rob sent me a list of things that will be creating the rattle and the only thing i haven't done is new boost solenoids. So I ordered them today.

I know exactly how pissed off you are.

If the solenoids don't fix it i will be taking the turbos off.

Mine are about 5000kms old and have started this too. Contacted Rob who was helpful and gave me a list of things to check. I had already repalced all vacuum lines and measured vacuum at canisteres and boost solenoids and it was all normal. Menu 10 makes very little difference across the spectrum of different values. I am going to isolate the turbo's one at a time to find which one it is and then swap the solenoids around to prove it is that before paying for new ones.
I hope that sorts it otherwise they have to be pulled out and they already cost me a packet to install The main reason to replace the OEM's was because they sounded like a tractor and figured may as go for the extra performance.

Hmm this is a bit of a worry, and I've heard the oil seals have a tendency to fail also

This morning before work I pulled out vacuum canisters to check for leaks cracks.

Found one heat shield bolt with only 30% thread into the block.

I dare say i have found the issue.

The heat shield is sitting about 10mm off the block and still has clearance from the wastegate arm towards the front but you cant physically see the entire wastegate arm. The sound must just be from vibrating.

Although I have spent 3 hours and 3 beers trying to get one bolt tightened unsuccessfully.

It is behind front manifold center junction.
