Rain sensor

Hi
I would like to know if only one sensor is used for rain and also for light. I know that lights automatically light up, for example in a tunnel. Today was the first time that I drove while raining and I had to manually switch on wipers. Just to let you know the rain was poor. So I don't know if rain sensor is working or not. Is there something to do, like put a switch on so that they work automatically like I do for lights?

Thanks in advance

I had issues with my rain sensor. They were awful.

I tried re initialization with inpa but it didn't do much.

What really helped is i removed the sensor and cleaned the blue part of the sensor left stuck to the windscreen with a microfiber cloth.

I then re initialized the sensor in inpa and it was much much better.. They worked as they should

You have to push the switch on the end of the wiper stalk, to turn on auto wipers. The green LED will light when they are on.

Yes the light sensor and the rain sensor are the same sensor in front of the rear view mirror on windshield
