LED interior lights. Need to be canbus?

Gonna purchase some LED interior lights for my trunk, glove box, door lights. Do they need to be Canbus or can just be regular lights.

I got regular crappy ones that are super bright for the doors and under the front footwell area. The dome/map ones need to be canbus or they randomly turn off and don't turn on sometimes when driving.

Buy them from High Performance Bulb.com and you will have no problems.

Now I'm confused. When I enquired about this recently, I was advised that everything needed to be canbus compatible.

Cheap generic LED bulbs are working fine for me in everything except the map lights.

Ahh perfect. Reason I ask is because I bought the BMW OEM LED kit which comes with 10 LED, 3 for the front dome and map, and 3 for the rear dome and map, and the rest for the doors.

But I need the rest of the LED setup like the trunk, glovebox, and 2 for the rear doors. Just wasn't sure if they needed to be canbus!
Great advice guys thanks!

Where did you get your kit from? How would you describe the light output? Super white or white enough where its not overpowering?

interior lights do not need to be Canbus. Only the exterior bulbs are checked by the computers system.
