Sorry for this complete novice question..
I was under the impression 35/35 is the best offset for an e92.
Ive been offered some 19/9.5 J REAR 19/ 8.5 J FRONT wheels, offsets ET38 FRONT / ET 27 REAR.
Will they fit? How will this compare to 35 / 35 offset.. Does the cars behaviour change much when altering the offset with a wheel change and then adding spacers?

"best offset" is subjective... depends on your preference.

i personally would get:
front 8.5" width with +30
rear 9.5" width with +25

ok so i guess what i should really have asked is this.. what changes (if any..) would it make to my car if i swapped from the stock 19" 313's to the wheels mentioned above.. they are a good quality German made wheel in the style & finish i'm after, at a good price too, so i'll be glad if it turns out they're all good for my car, but will be glad for the advice if i'm just best skipping these wheels and going for something else.

In trying to read up and understand offset & wheel size from previous threads i've just managed to confuse myself & now am struggling to work out how its going to mess up the look / ride / geometry?

Our oem 19 313 wheels are 19 x 9 et39 in the rear and 19x8 et37 in front. Put those numbers in the offset calculator in the wheel and tire section of the forum and input the new wheel specs and see what difference it will make. The new wheels will be a bit more aggressive.

Hmm.. "best" is subjective, depends on your taste and what you're looking to achieve. What we typically recommend for our wheels would be a 19x8.5 +35, 19x9.5 +33. It's a good solid size in my opinion and will give you no rubbing issues.

This is what im running but my front is 19x8.5 +15 225/35/19
Rear is 19x9.5 +20 255/30/19
The thing is im on KW1 Coilovers and i lowered all the way down (tucking half the tires) which take me a while to make those fit (cutting fenders and shaved alot) and now im rubbing on the inside liner at hard cornering lol.
It sits so flush though...i love it.

In retrospect I realise how redundant and relative to personal preference my title question sounds.. I guess what I wanted to know was the margins to alter the e92's offset without altering the geometry or behaviour of the car in any significant way.. Unless it be a certain improvement. So it was more about what's good for the car than what peoples aesthetic preferences were. My fault for not explaining myself better, just I'm buying my first aftermarket wheels and was getting a bit baffled.

After more research I'm worried the 27 would cause rubbing on an e92 and will probably go for 19x8.5 et35 fronts and 19x9.5 et35 rears. Must sound really tame compared to what a lot of you guys are using!

9.5j+27 rears should be fine as long as you roll your fenders and don't try to put 285's or something silly on there.

Looking at the front, u noticed its not as low? Thats because xi-bullshit, the bump stop is sitting right on top of the shock, i removed it and the car dropped another 1/4" BUT im bottoming out on the littlest bumps so decided to raise the car up 1/4" all around just now, so far, i guess im happy with the height and ride comfort now.

Your geometry wont be altered much with new wheels and your car should perform just the same. Your cars geometry is based on suspension set up, alignment setup, corner balancing, and etc. Getting wheels wont do much unless you incorporate everything else.

ET40

72.5mm Center Bore

Im most worried about the offset. Is that too high et40? It seems most people run mid 20s to mid-30s but not too sure. If your too busy no problem. I realize for others these are tiny wheels compared to dubs but I like that oem size/look. Thanks in advance.

Hey all, quick question. I have come by a pair (2) of wheels for a good deal i'm looking to buy, but they're ET20, in 19x8.5. Is that too much offset for fronts on a 2013 E92 335? Would I need to roll fenders? I'm on factory m sport suspension.

Also, what would be a good match for the rear?

for the rears 9.5 and et22 is mildly aggressive... i think max tire you can fit there would be a 255 if you dont want to roll your fenders

Would I need spacers?if so how much should I put? 15mm spacers all around? So a 255/35 all around should be good without fenders rolled? It’s my first time owning a 335xi e92 coupe. I apologize for a lot of questions but I just need help with this, I’m a newbie

Yes roll the inside of the fender flat. And also you are gonna need to pull them out as well....not so much "flared" as u say but definately pulled using the phone book method...lol 🙂. Yes it does work.
